Ms. Rabbani works on transactional matters, primarily focusing on commercial retail leasing and business entity formation. Ms. Rabbani negotiates leases for commercial retail spaces and industrial spaces for both landlord side and tenant side. In addition to lease negotiations, Ms. Rabbani also handles disputes arising from lease defaults. Ms. Rabbani works on commercial and industrial property acquisitions as well, including title and survey review. In her corporate work, Ms. Rabbani creates business entities from the ground-up and serves in an advisory role to corporate boards and members of limited liability companies.
Ms. Rabbani also focuses her work on non-profit entity formation. Ms. Rabbani forms public charities and private foundations, obtaining tax-exempt status under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3). After formation, Ms. Rabbani continues to advise the board to ensure compliance under state law and federal law. Ms. Rabbani began her non-profit work while volunteering at Notre Dame Law School’s Legal Aid Clinic, where she assisted clients in forming nonprofit organizations.
Prior to joining The Opus Law Firm, Ms. Rabbani was a post-bar clerk at the San Diego City Attorney’s Office domestic violence unit. Ms. Rabbani has also interned in the domestic violence units at the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office and the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office. While attending Notre Dame Law School, Ms. Rabbani was a Notes Editor for the Journal of International and Comparative Law and served as a research assistant for Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Kenneth Ripple.
Ms. Rabbani graduated Cum Laude from Notre Dame Law School in 2017. Ms. Rabbani received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from University of California, San Diego in 2014 where she also minored in Law and Society. Ms. Rabbani is part of the Lawyers Club of San Diego and the Notre Dame Club of San Diego.
